Baptism

Jesus said

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.  (Matthew 19:14)

Baptism (or Christening as it is sometimes called), celebrates God’s love for each individual. So we are keen to share this significant moment with you and your child.

It is Uniting Church practice to perform the sacrament of baptism during the regular gathering for Sunday worship. In this way we are able to welcome those being baptised (children and/or adults) into the faith community of Jesus Christ.

Baptism is a significant act of spiritual connection to Christ’s Church through the ongoing activity of a particular congregation.

We look forward to the day when your child will grow to acknowledge the Christian faith as her/his own. The Uniting Church offers Confirmation as a means of affirming personal faith and reaffirming one’s baptism. Enquiries should first be directed to our Administrator who may be contacted at 08 8362 2544 or by email: office@wesleykenttown.org.au).

The Minister will arrange a meeting to discuss the necessary details.
